Voopoo Argus Pro 2 review: quick verdict and who it suits
The Argus Pro 2 is a leather-grip pod mod for adults who want higher power and long battery life in a self-contained kit. The listing says it suits MTL, RDL and DTL vaping with an adjustable airflow slider.
It costs AED 20 less than the first Argus Pro. Read the Argus Pro review and the Drag S Pro review to see how they differ.
Who should buy it
Buy the Argus Pro 2 if you want 80W, a 3000mAh battery and PnP X coils at the lowest price in the 80W class we list.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you want a small pocket kit or you vape nicotine salts at low power, where a smaller pod device suits better.
Specifications and what is in the listing
The listing gives the following for this Voopoo Argus Pro 2 review: a 3000mAh built-in battery, output of 5 to 80W, a 5ml side-fill PnP X pod, PnP X coil compatibility, the GENE.AI 2.0 chipset, an OLED screen, an adjustable airflow slider, USB Type-C fast charging and a zinc-alloy body with a leather grip.
The listing says the GENE.AI 2.0 chip gives responsive firing and smart wattage adjustment. It lists seven colours, which change with stock.
Voopoo Argus Pro 2 power, battery and draw
Power runs from 5 to 80W, and the airflow slider tunes the draw from tight to open. A 3000mAh battery is the largest class for a built-in kit, so most users get a full day.
Pods and coils
The kit uses the PnP X coil series, which has a wide range of resistances. Spare PnP X coils are on the store, and each listing says which kit it fits.
Everyday use and upkeep
The side-fill pod is quick to refill, and the OLED shows power and battery. Start at a lower wattage and work up for each new coil.
Charge with USB Type-C, avoid parked cars in Dubai heat and let new coils soak before the first draw. Do not overfill the 5ml pod.
How it compares with similar kits
The table compares the Argus Pro 2 with three other 80W-class kits we list, using figures from the product titles and listings.
| Kit | Power | Battery | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Voopoo Argus Pro 2 | 5-80W | 3000mAh built in | AED 130 |
| Voopoo Argus Pro | Up to 80W | 3000mAh built in | AED 150 |
| Voopoo Drag S Pro | 5-80W | 3000mAh built in | AED 140 |
| Vaporesso Armour G | 5-80W | 3000mAh built in | AED 150 |
The first Argus Pro costs AED 20 more, the Drag S Pro AED 10 more and the Armour G AED 20 more with matching headline figures, so the Argus Pro 2 is the cheapest of the four.
UAE rules, nicotine strength and safe use
Electronic nicotine products sold in the UAE fall under a national standard, which you can read about on the UAE.S 5030:2018 standard (MoIAT). This is a refillable kit, so the nicotine strength depends on the liquid. Buy only from a licensed seller and keep the receipt. Rules can change, so confirm current limits with MOIAT rather than relying on any blog post.
The NHS says vaping is less harmful than smoking but not risk-free, and that it is not for people who do not smoke or for children. We sell only to adults aged 21 and over. Keep devices, pods, coils and liquids away from children and pets.
This post is general product information, not medical or legal advice, and we make no claim that vaping helps anyone quit smoking.
Price, delivery and final verdict
The Argus Pro 2 is listed at AED 130. Prices and stock change, so check the product page before you order.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| 5-80W with a 3000mAh built-in battery | Larger than a typical pod kit |
| Lowest price in the 80W class we list | Not for low-power salts |
| OLED screen and airflow slider | PnP X coils only |
| Side-fill 5ml pod | Leather grip may wear |
Our verdict: the Voopoo Argus Pro 2 is the best-value 80W kit we list on paper, and a sensible choice over the original Argus Pro.
