Voopoo Argus P1S review: quick verdict and who it suits
The Argus P1S is a light, transparent, auto-draw kit for adults who want a simple nicotine-salt device. The listing says the chipset adjusts power for consistent puffs.
It is AED 10 cheaper than the original P1 and takes the newer V2 pods. See the Argus P1 review and the Argus P2 review for the neighbours.
Who should buy it
Buy the Argus P1S if you want the cheapest Argus P kit, fast charging and V2 pods that come in two sizes.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you want a screen, adjustable airflow or a bigger battery. The airflow is fixed and there is no button.
Specifications and what is in the listing
The listing gives the following for this Voopoo Argus P1S review: an 800mAh battery, smart 5 to 25W output, 2ml and 3ml Argus Pod V2 pods in 0.7 ohm and 1.2 ohm, the GENE.AI chipset, auto-draw activation, a zinc-alloy and transparent PC body, fixed optimised airflow, side filling and USB Type-C 2A fast charging.
The listing claims a 0 to 100 percent charge in about 20 minutes, which is a manufacturer claim. It lists six colours, which change with stock.
Voopoo Argus P1S power, battery and draw
Power is managed by the chipset in a 5 to 25W window, so there is nothing to adjust. An 800mAh battery suits a light user, and quick charging helps top up.
Pods and coils
Argus Pod V2 pods have integrated 0.7 ohm and 1.2 ohm mesh coils, so you replace the pod when the coil wears. Check the pod listing for the fit before ordering spares.
Everyday use and upkeep
You inhale and it fires. Side filling means you can top up without removing the pod.
Charge with USB Type-C, avoid parked cars in Dubai heat and let a new pod soak before use. Do not overfill.
How it compares with similar kits
The table compares the Argus P1S with three other Voopoo kits we list, using figures from the product titles and listings.
| Kit | Power | Battery | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Voopoo Argus P1S | Smart 5-25W | 800mAh | AED 110 |
| Voopoo Argus P1 | Up to 20W | 800mAh | AED 120 |
| Voopoo Argus P2 | 5-30W | 1200mAh | AED 120 |
| Voopoo Argus P3 | 30W | 1500mAh | AED 120 |
The P2 and P3 cost AED 10 more and add much larger batteries. The P1S is the pick only if you want the lowest price.
UAE rules, nicotine strength and safe use
Electronic nicotine products sold in the UAE fall under a national standard, which you can read about on the UAE.S 5030:2018 standard (MoIAT). This is a refillable kit, so the nicotine strength depends on the liquid. Buy only from a licensed seller and keep the receipt. Rules can change, so confirm current limits with MOIAT rather than relying on any blog post.
The NHS says vaping is less harmful than smoking but not risk-free, and that it is not for people who do not smoke or for children. We sell only to adults aged 21 and over. Keep devices, pods, coils and liquids away from children and pets.
This post is general product information, not medical or legal advice, and we make no claim that vaping helps anyone quit smoking.
Price, delivery and final verdict
The Argus P1S is listed at AED 110. Prices and stock change, so check the product page before you order.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Lowest-priced Argus P kit | 800mAh is small |
| Fast Type-C charging per listing | Fixed airflow, no screen |
| Takes 2ml and 3ml V2 pods | Integrated coil pods |
| Light, transparent design | Auto-draw only, no button |
Our verdict: the Voopoo Argus P1S is a decent cheap starter, but for AED 10 more the Argus P2 gives a screen and a larger battery.
