iTank vs iTank T
The iTank 2 is listed as a tank for direct-to-lung vaping, and the iTank T is a larger 6ml tank. Check each product page for capacity and coil range. Choose by how much liquid you want to carry and how you like to draw.
GTi Coils and Related Guides
The iTanks use GTi coils. Read our coil resistance guide and mesh vs ceramic coils guide, then browse the pods and coils category and the Vaporesso XROS hub. See also how to change a vape coil.
What Direct-to-Lung Tanks Are For
The iTank 2 is listed as a tank for direct-to-lung vaping, which means a looser, airier draw into the lungs and more vapour than a tight mouth-to-lung draw. That usually pairs with lower-resistance coils and higher-VG liquid. Read the coil resistance guide and VG and PG explained.
GTi Coil Care
The iTanks use GTi coils. Prime a new coil before use: put a few drops of liquid on the cotton, fill the tank or pod, wait several minutes, then take gentle low-power puffs. Skipping this step is the main cause of a burnt taste. Replace the coil when flavour fades, and follow the guide on how to change a vape coil.
Capacity and Carrying
The iTank T is listed as a larger 6ml tank, so it holds more liquid per fill. Check each page for the capacity of the iTank 2. Keep tanks upright when you carry them and empty them before a long trip if you can, to avoid leaks.
Common Issues
- Leaking: check the coil is seated and the tank is not overfilled.
- Gurgling: clear liquid from the airflow and re-seat the coil.
- Burnt taste: the coil may be worn or unprimed.
